Mumbai musings

All of a sudden the weather has changed to be like a hot furnace. In the afternoon, there is wind blowing, but it is too hot to bear with. Drinking lots of water, still feeling exhausted. Already added to the heat is the water problem BMC is facing nowadays. To add salt to the wound, we cannot avoid  the mosquito menace during evenings. Thanks to the global warming wherein we are able to see sudden upheavals of temperatures and its effects. To top it all toxic smog engulfs Mumbai and Schools remained shut for two days in Chembur. Mumbai, especially Deonar and surrounding areas was left to choke once again. We do not have any processing unit as yet as 6000 MT of waste is dumped in Deonar and 4000 MT in Bhandup. Fresh fire emanated at Deonar dumpyard choking the air quality in this and surrounding areas. Some quick action, better waste management and material disposal system to be adopted as is followed in foreign countries, since Mumbai is one of the best known cities of the world. Mumbai musings continue and it is time for the State Government to solve the crux of the problems with proper planning in the days to come without wasting time.
