Netas riding on high on fat pay cheques

It is a money world and the netas are no exception to get fat pay cheques every month. The Maharashtra assembly gave its nod for revising the salary of legislators. We can treat this as great pride as some of the states pay more salary to CM than the President of India and that is somewhat alarming. The salary hike of 250% for MLAs, MLCs will come to effect in December, while the basic pay will remain less than that of the President as an eye wash.  Perks and allowances all add to the basic pay and make the State rulers rich. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister  Ms. J. Jayalalithaa is receiving a token amount of Re.1 as salary PM and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee donates it to the chief minister’s relief fund and doing yeomen service. The pay pack needs to be made uniform for all the state instead of netas riding high on fat pays but not doing justice to their job in hand for the development of the country.
