Olympics trauma

Rio Olympics showed the winning ways and our over enthusiastic athletics and other players failed to win hearts of the people of India. When China can win 13 medals in the first three days, why our ambitious contingent is trumpeting our show at home all the time. Both Sania Mirza and Leander Paes lost out a chance in their respective events with a first round exit.  Later on they did make statements which was not in good taste or in the best interest of the game in India. Saina did make a mention about her inexperienced partner and Paes played down the controversy surrounding his late arrival and the lack of practise with his doubles partner. Again, we expect much action in the hockey field and the European countries are having upper hand than the traditional Indian way of playing the game.  Abhinav Bindra did lost a chance to win a medal.  But the fourth placed shooter was a Gold medalist last time. Media went berserk with the loss also by saying that he came rather close. But in reality nothing succeeds like success and Abhinav and other athletes and players should realise this instead of making news all the time without fetching single medal for the country. Trauma continues in the Olympic events this time.
