Only newspaper which values the contributions of its Readers

I have been a Press letter writer for over forty years and have got over 3000 letter/write ups published in several newspapers and magazines. Over the years, from time to time, many newspapers had given due value to Letter writers. But, unfortunately, almost all the newspapers (barring one or two) have trimmed or even vanished the Readers’ page altogether.

I have been an avid reader and contributor to Afternoon Voice for the last few years. And today this is the only newspaper which values the contributions of its readers. Above all, the paper does not publish just for ‘namesake” by harshly editing it. But the “DIARY” column gives ample scope for the readers to express views and opinions which are published in full. The tabloid thus understands the “VOX POPULI or Peoples Power” which is more important today as the government and even the PM and the PMO and other ministers too, take due cognizance of the views of the newspaper contributors.

The layout and coverage of the paper is just good. One suggestion that your reporter should cover the satellite cities like Dombivli more –as here we are facing problems of power disruption, train travails, environment, corporation issues and so on. Hope you will work on this suitably for even a half a page for the satellite towns.

Above all, this is the only paper in the recent past which has considered its contributors as also the “TEAM or BOARD MEMBERS” of the AV editorial team. Like recently you had sent us the invite for the Newsmakers award function and even honoured the prolific and regular writers.  Your paper thus cherishes the motto that the “PEN IS MIGHTIER THAN THE SWORD” and takes the readers along too, as members of the AV Team. Great indeed!

Hearty Congratulations and best wishes for all success to your Management, Editor and the team of staff in the years ahead too. May the AV grow as number One newspaper in this city.
