Despite superlative show by Indian team in the gentleman’s game of cricket, we witness BCCI is playing board game and not following the court orders as well. In a recent development, the Lodha panel urged the Supreme Court to sack BCCI office bearers. It is a matter of great concern that the Governing body of the cricketing activities in India is not following the orders of the apex court. While the day to day administration of the BCCI is presently carried out by the CEO and certain managers, who assist him in this regard, there would be need to appoint an observer, who would guide the BCCI particularly for the routine activities. The cricketing board is in thick of controversies ever since IPL scam came was unearthed. Now it is time to bring BCCI under RTI ambit to have more control over the financial activities of the world’s richest cricket board. Operation clean up of BCCI should be taken from the grassroots level as the cash cow is facing many financial irregularities.
