Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra crapped in Jammu and Kashmir due to a security lapse

The Congress alleged “very serious security lapses” as the march entered the Kashmir Valley. Rahul Gandhi was to walk 20 km in Kashmir today but had to stop after about a km. Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, the leader of the National Conference, was with him. As Rahul Gandhi crossed the Banihal Tunnel on his way to Srinagar, a large, unexpected crowd was waiting for him, said Congress leaders.

“Police personnel supposed to manage the crowd were nowhere to be seen. The police arrangement collapsed after we exited the tunnel. My security got uncomfortable, so we had to cancel. I had to call off my walk because I can’t go against my security people,” Rahul Gandhi told reporters later. “It is the administration’s responsibility to guarantee crowd control,” the Congress MP added.

Omar Abdullah, who joined the yatra in a white T-shirt like Rahul Gandhi, said a layer of security “simply vanished”. “I’m witness to this. The Congress blamed a “sudden withdrawal of security personnel” and mismanagement of crowds by the Jammu and Kashmir administration mismanaged the crowds. Rahul Gandhi was stuck in the middle of a crowd and couldn’t move for about 30 minutes, Congress leaders said. Eventually, he was driven away in a bulletproof vehicle and the party called off the yatra for the day.

“The police drove off after we crossed Banihal Tunnel. Who ordered this? The authorities responsible must answer for this lapse and take steps to prevent such incidents in future,” said Congress leader KC Venugopal. There were no security officers for 15 minutes, he claimed. “For 15 minutes, there were no security officers with the Bharat Jodo Yatra. This is a very serious lapse. Rahul Gandhi and other Yatris cannot walk without security,” Mr Venugopal told reporters.

Congress leader Rajni Patil tweeted that the administration “failed to provide security to the Bharat Jodo Yatra” and that the security lapses indicated an “unfair and unprepared attitude of the UT administration”. Senior police officer Vijay Kumar denied any security lapse. “The organisers did not inform us about a large crowd joining the march from Banihal. The police were not consulted before the Bharat Jodo Yatra was discontinued. We will provide foolproof security,” Mr Kumar said.

The police said as part of security measures for the yatra, they had shut down the Srinagar-Jammu national highway to traffic and the morning train service between Baramulla and Banihal was cancelled. The Yatra was called off earlier on Wednesday due to poor weather and landslides. The Bharat Jodo Yatra, which started in Tamil Nadu’s Kanyakumari on September 7, will end on January 30 in Srinagar after covering 3,970 km, 12 states and two Union territories. Omar Abdullah said he joined the Yatra as he was concerned about the image of the country.

“The Bharat Jodo Yatra is not aimed at improving the image of Rahul Gandhi but for improving the situation in the country,” the National Conference said when he arrived at Banihal, 120 km from Srinagar, to join the march. “We have not joined this for the image of an individual but for the image of the county,” he said.

Mumbai always have a scarcity of water

Mumbai is a large city and has grown over a long period of time, and with many people. There is always a shortage of supply or of distribution? Many large cities have major leaks in their distribution piping, as old, undocumented pipes fail, and new additions to systems and to new customers overload the old piping. In a large urban area, it is easy for new users to “hot tap” into distribution piping without the utility knowing.

Half of the city will not get water for 24 hours, from January 30 at 10 am to January 31 at 10 am, due to repair work. Dadar will get 25 per cent less water on the same day. The water supply will be at low pressure from January 29 to February 4. Water supply will be completely cut off in nine wards of Western suburbs. The nine wards are — K East, K West, P South, P North, R South, R Central, R North, H East, and H West. Water supply will also be completely cut off in many areas of S, N, and L wards in the eastern suburbs.

In addition to the above, there will be a 25 per cent reduction in water supply in Mahim West, Dadar West, Prabhadevi, and Matunga West in the ‘G North’ and ‘G South’ wards. Whereas in the Dharavi area, where water supply is provided between 4 pm and 9 pm, the water supply will be completely cut off on January 30. Due to these repair works; the water supply will be under low pressure in the above-mentioned wards between January 29 and February 4.

Given the demographics in Mumbai, we all know how densely populated the city is. And the entire city depends on a few reservoirs for its water supply. Even if we manage the water distribution perfectly, the water will probably only just be enough, at best. Wastage of water is rampant. Right from people in their households to leaking main supply pipes and everything in between is the reason for water waste. There are many elements that purposely damage supply pipes in order to ‘steal’ water to run their own water business. And people in households are equally guilty of taking water for granted and wasting water. The end result is a lot of water which could otherwise have been used, literally goes down the drain. And we are left with shortages and water cuts.

Usually, people in the chawls and slums face water shortages, yet we can see running taps outside homes. People in the buildings wash their galleries when it is really not necessary. They hook up the pipe to the tap and wash cars. Some people won’t keep yesterday’s water today citing religious reasons. Even after telling people not to waste water, many buildings still waste it carelessly.

When the Government desires for a project, a lot of displacement & rehabilitation stands as a hurdle. You cannot destroy forests without forest & environment clearance. Whenever a dam/reservoir is thought of people come forward against it because of displacement from their birthplace or native land. A big area gets submerged in a reservoir. So rainwater harvesting is the only alternative to recharge groundwater. To direct water to the aquifer, we are to construct numerous dug wells, tanks, ponds, contour trenches etc. No bore wells should be dug up to aquifers in a tank or pond to send water underground for storage & rising of the groundwater table. The rainwater should be sent to the aquifer after filtration using a filter unit.

Basically, the city needs water investment planning. For technical fields, we need technical men who understand matters. There are several factors that will really affect the water situation in coming years such as population growth in the city. With the exploitation of groundwater and mismanagement of water resources, people do not really care about saving water or at least not wasting it. It is very common in India that we will preach on social issues and environmental issues but won’t really do anything about it. Rapid industrial growth is also one of the main reasons for water scarcity.

We have a lack of on-time de-silting operations in large water bodies that can enhance water storage capacity during monsoon, cutting trees in order to create concrete jungles that will lower the chances of rain in future and thus decrease groundwater level. Lack of efficient water management and distribution of water between urban consumers, the agriculture sector and industry is another major reason for the shortage of water. The government needs to enhance its investment in technology to ensure the optimization of existing resources. Plus, the way we are wasting water in the already drought-hit areas is also an example of showing how much we really care about this problem.

Anil Antony quits Congress citing threats after opposing BBC documentary; oppn calls it "correct decision" 6

Day after opposing the much in talks BBC documentary, Anil Antony, son of former defence minister AK Antony on Tuesday resigned from the Congress party citing threats and abuses hurdled on him on social media platforms.

On Anil’s resignation, Shashi Tharoor while speaking to ANI said he had not spoken to Anil and the issue was not discussed between them. “But he is capable of speaking for himself”.

“How can a BBC documentary affect the sovereignty of our nation? The ban is an overreaction and unnecessary by the Centre. We are a strong country. We could have ignored this. Our sovereignty and national security is not something that can be easily affected by a documentary,” Tharoor further added.

Earlier in the day, Anil Antony had tweeted saying. “I have resigned from my roles in @incindia @INCKerala. Intolerant calls to retract a tweet, by those fighting for free speech. I refused. have resigned from my roles in @incindia @INCKerala. Intolerant calls to retract a tweet, by those fighting for free speech. I refused. (sic)”

Expressing his views and opposing the BBC documentary, Anil had earlier said, “Despite large differences with BJP, I think those in placing views of BBC, a state-sponsored channel with a long history of prejudices, and of Jack Straw.”

Congress leader MP Behanan Benny said, “He is an independent man. Congress party has always supported him.

Speaking about the alleged threats Anil is receiving, Benny said, “We have not heard of any such threats given to Anil, and I believe no Congress member is part of it.”

Some BJP leaders expressed their view over Anil’s resignation, calling it a correct decision said:

BJP Yuva Morcha Kerala state president, CR Praphulkrishnan said, “He is free to express his opinion and his vision towards the country and we are happy that he is in favour of the government’s decision of banning the BBC documentary, and we expect more people to be part of it.”

“The stand which Anil Antony took was a correct decision and he has proved that regardless of political issues with the opposition he has chosen country as a priority,” said BJP MP K P Suresh.

BJP leader Jiji Joseph said, “Congress culture is always supporting Anti-national elements in India and this is why their party members are threatening and abusing Anil on social media.”

The BJP-Shinde combine will win more than 150 seats in BMC polls: Ashish Shelar

The BJP and the Shiv Sena faction led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde will win more than 150 seats in the upcoming BMC elections, the party’s city president Ashish Shelar said on Wednesday, reiterating his senior leader and Union minister Amit Shah’s ‘Mission 150 seats’.

The BJP will also have its mayor in Mumbai, said Shelar at an event organised by the regional newspaper Loksatta. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has 227 seats in the House. It is currently under an administrator as the five-year term of its elected representatives ended early last year and fresh polls are due.

“The BJP along with our alliance partner CM Eknath Shinde will win more than 150 seats. The mayor of the new civic body will be from the BJP,” said Shelar.

The Shiv Sena has controlled the BMC, Asia’s richest civic body with an annual budget of nearly Rs 45,000 crore, since 1997. But the last election in 2017 was a close contest as it won 84 seats, just two more than the BJP.

After returning to power in Maharashtra with an alliance with Shinde, whose revolt split the Shiv Sena and led to the collapse of the Uddhav Thackeray-led MVA government last year, the BJP is keen to wrest the control of the BMC from the Sena. Last week, the saffron party got Prime Minister Narendra Modi to lay the foundation stones and inaugurate a string of projects worth Rs 38,000 crore aimed at developing infrastructure, easing urban travel, and strengthening healthcare in the country’s financial capital.

Shelar said, “There is a difference between the Shiv Sena led by late Balasaheb Thackeray and the current one under Uddhav Thackeray. Balasaheb was a large-hearted person, always open for dialogue and the foundation of his alliance (with BJP) was Hindutva.” He said several remarks of Uddhav Thackeray in the past were critical of the BJP. ”While sharing power with the BJP in the state government between 2014 and 2019, Uddhav once said that his party had rotted during the more than 25 years of alliance with the BJP. Before the 2014 assembly elections, he broke the alliance with us for over just one seat,” he said.

“He again joined hands with us ahead of the 2019 assembly elections but broke it after the results were out. There is an inconsistency in her behaviour,” said the former state minister.

Asked about PM Modi’s role in the BMC elections, Shelar said, “He will naturally remain the face of our campaign, like Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.” Reminding his party’s rank and file of the Shiv Sena’s “betrayal” in 2014, Union Home Minister Amit Shah had last year asked BJP workers to hit the ground for the BMC polls for which he fixed a target of ‘Mission 150 seats’.

Oppn hits out at Modi govt over the banning of BBC documentary, saying “they are scared and guilty about it”

On Tuesday, Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju expressed his view on the BBC documentary on the ‘2002 Godhra’ riots in which the channel directly accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of inciting the violence.

While giving a statement on the demands of some university students to allow them the screening of the documentary on their campus, he said “For some people, the white rulers are still the masters, whose decision is final and not the verdicts of the Supreme Court of India or the will of the citizens. (Translation from his Hindi tweet)

Earlier the documentary was made available on all social media platforms but was later taken down after the government refuted all claims shown in the documentary.

We spoke to some opposition leaders about their views on the banning of the documentary:

Congress leader Ratnakar Mahajan said, “The people of India are already aware of all that happened in the Godhra riots. The BBC has made this documentary on the facts and pieces of evidence, which are available widely on the internet. The present Modi government is scared of the truth and they are guilty about it. They are afraid of losing their credibility in the international forums.”

Brinda Karat, CPI(M) leader said, “This Modi style of democracy and censorship is absolutely against the fundamentals of democracy. This government is highly sensitive to any word uttered against PM Modi, if someone criticizes the PM, they are shut down in some or the other way.”

Veteran Congress leader Hussain Dalwai while taunting his own party said, “The Congress and other parties were always silent on such behaviour of BJP, their fascist ideology wouldn’t have lasted if they were opposed from the beginning.”

Indian government to protect the interest of the tribal people of Ladakh

After the August 5, 2019 judgments that formed two new Union Territories, there was a lot of excitement, especially in Leh. The Buddhist-majority Leh district had long sought UT status because it felt neglected by the previous state government, which was dominated by Jammu and Kashmir lawmakers. However, enthusiasm dimmed when it became clear that, while the UT of J&K would have a legislature, the UT of Ladakh would not. There were four MLAs from the region in the previous J&K Assembly; the territory’s governance is now entirely in the hands of bureaucrats.

When Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led government revoked the special status of the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir, and bifurcated it into two Centrally ruled Union Territories (UT) – Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, resentment had grown in Ladakh. The Leh Apex Body and Kargil Democratic Alliance, an amalgam of different political groupings of the region have been seeking constitutional safeguards along the lines of the 6th schedule to safeguard the demography, environment, and unique culture of Ladakh. The current Sixth Schedule episode began when the BJP-led current LAHDC Leh administration, in presence of the BJP Member of Parliament (MP) Jamyang Tsering Mangyal, passed a resolution in the first week of September demanding safeguard for Ladakh under anyone of Article 371, the Sixth Schedule, or Domicile Law.

These tribal areas are to be administered as autonomous districts. These autonomous districts are not outside the executive authority of the state concerned but provision is made for the creation of district councils and regional councils for the exercise of certain legislative and judicial functions. Their councils are primarily representative bodies that have got the power of law-making in certain specific fields such as management of a forest other than a reserved forest, inheritance of property, marriage and social customs, and the Government may also confer upon their councils the power to try certain suits or offences. These councils also have the power to assess and collect land revenue and to impose certain specified taxes.

However, the Apex Body, after meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah on September 26, agreed to withdraw the boycott call. Shah assured the Ladakhi delegation that all issues related to Ladakh’s language, demography, ethnicity, land and jobs will be considered positively. It is also assured that “a dialogue between a larger Ladakhi delegation comprising of representatives from Leh and Kargil District under the aegis of the “Peoples Movement for Constitutional Safeguards under VI Schedule” and Union Home Ministry would commence after 15 days of the culmination of LAHDC election.

In sharp contrast to the resolution passed by the LAHDC Leh, the public representatives of Sham region of Leh unanimously rejected the demand for “Article 371” and “Domicile Law” and revived the demand to include Ladakh in Sixth Schedule. Grabbing this opportunity as a launching pad, the elders in Leh — whom the locals call “veteran leaders” — intensified the demand for Sixth Schedule and a legislature for the centrally administered Union Territory (UT). The demand was made in a joint meeting that was attended by veteran leaders, representatives of various religions (Buddhists, Christians, Sunnis, Shias), student organizations and political parties.

Nonetheless, the Muslim-majority Kargil district is silent on the demand for Sixth Schedule inclusion as they have always maintained the need to restore statehood and Article 370 for the region. They did not support the extension of the Sixth Schedule. They have always been against the division of the state. In our political history, Ladakh faced many challenges and agitations, but no government has constituted such an inclusive and high-powered committee.

Union territory has been the long-standing demand of Ladakh since 1949, and from then the people of Ladakh have been reiterating our demand for the union territory. The demand has been legitimised on various grounds based on Geographical, Cultural and Linguistic. The three strips in the flag of Jammu and Kashmir represent the three Geographical regions Jammu, Ladakh and Kashmir but no due importance or power has been delegated to the regions equally. The state govt. has discriminated against Ladakh in terms of Government Recruitment, Education and Funds allocation since its merger with the Indian state through an Agreement of accession.

According to Article 244 of the Constitution, the Sixth Schedule was enacted in 1949 to protect indigenous groups through the establishment of autonomous administrative divisions known as Autonomous District Councils (ADCs). The Sixth Schedule contains provisions that grant indigenous tribes significant autonomy, and it currently applies to the Northeastern states of Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram (three Councils each), and Tripura (one Council).

Under the Sixth Schedule, the ADCs and Regional Councils have the authority to create laws, receive funding from the Consolidated Fund of India, and develop the region in the fields of health care, education, roads, and regulations. This ensures the security of the indigenous population’s economy, environment, and traditions. Parliamentary laws either do not apply to autonomous districts and regions or have varying degrees of application.

Why is our society so judgemental about Fakir Sadhus?

sadhu, aghori, baba, sanyasis, babas in india, sadhu sants
Image: Pixabay

In the era where the promotion of Hinduism is at its peak, sadhus are randomly leeched or humiliated in India.  Two years ago, two Hindu sadhus were brutally lynched to death by a frenzied mob of more than 100 people in the town of Palghar. This issue became a political saga, there was a lot of blame game and finally, the Maharashtra government got toppled on the issue of Hindutva. Eknath Shinde was projected as the flag bearer of Hindu and he became CM of the state. After coming to power both Shinde and Fadnavis forgot this topic and now there is no cry for justice.

Similarly, common people also got carried away with the propaganda and joined the campaign #JusticeForSadhus. The WhatsApp forwards and social media sites were flooded with agendas but now some people have turned mute. Conditioning plays a vital role in creating a fake narrative. Are we really bothered about the saints and sadhus of India?

I would be sharing one personal experience here. A few days back one Fakir Sadhu walked from Uttarakhand to Mumbai for some research work with “The Hindu education and research foundation.” In spite of having his state CM and lakhs of rich disciples at his feet, he chose to walk. He calls himself a Fakir (beggar) he prefers no extravagances. He wanted to rest on the footpaths but one of the ministers of Uttarakhand and a spiritual leader informed me that Fakir baba is coming to Mumbai, if possible, to meet him. I invited him home because his proficiency in explaining the Vedas and Sanskrit is amazing. He speaks good Sanskrit, English, Hindi, Spanish and other languages. Being a Shiva worshipper, he recites all related Vedas with utmost devotion. Maybe we wanted to experience that.

It took almost four days for him to reach Mumbai. He was tired, soaked in dust, and also unwell. After walking miles alone, he finally entered our building and my watchman objected to his entry assuming he was a beggar. Some residents were making unnecessary noises by judging him through their own actions. Somehow, I told the watchman to guide him to come home. I thought this humiliation might have bothered him. I was feeling guilty. Even I cannot blame my building people because when a person looks like a popper or a beggar, we don’t trust them but start arbitrating.  Security is the prime concern for all; this baba is known to me so I can take responsibility. There are goons who enter the complex in the guise of something and commit crimes. The hesitation is justified. But when it comes to the incidence of sadhus getting killed or trashed, we get hyper because it happened somewhere else. The biggest challenge is to identify the guanine.

Hinduism does not reject Sadhu who is not lavish. There are three types of religious leaders in our country. The one who is so-called famous where politicians and the public fall in line to meet them at least once. The other religious leaders follow the political leaders wagging their tails so that they can click pictures and glorify themselves. Third, they remain detached from this world and dedicate themselves to God and religion. But these third category people have no face because they don’t belong to social media, they don’t keep phones or they don’t look presentable with that fanfare. This rare species of spiritual leader is constantly under attack due to mistrust and fear. That is what exactly happened with the Palghar killing, people failed to acknowledge them as sadhus.

After the Palghar incident, Sadhus of the Juna Akhada had come from Mathura (UP) in a Bolero car to Lavanga in Sangli District and asked for directions to an address. The local people thought that the Sadhus were intending to kidnap the children. They not only thrashed them but also severely beat them up. Maharashtra is reputed to be the land of Sadhus and Saints yet it is here that incidents of Sadhus being beaten up happen again and again. Society is living in unknown fear and superiorly complex both. That is the reason such saints having no glossy background or name find them vulnerable.

Hinduism does not demand that every Hindu should be religious or spiritual but they should respect the culture. Hindus become religious or spiritual voluntarily. The basic requirement of Hinduism is to follow Dharma or good conduct which is taught even in secularism or any civil society.

When we normal human beings are in the turmoil of our worldly life, we are either very happy or not happy. When we are not happy, we are angry or sad. When we are happy, we are on top of the world; however, when we see true Sadhu, we find them without attachments to anything materialistic. They work for the betterment of the people. They live and yes, they can give you mental stability by resolving your query. It is a spiritual process. A sadhu is somebody who is working on himself so that he becomes receptive. He will teach you what he has accumulated if you want it.

We live in the subcontinent where illiteracy meets religion and together, they make a mixture of stupidity and blind faith. Rather than making much out of this superb concept of sadhus, we began to lose reasoning, which makes sense, because the majority of us are illiterate and live under mental bankruptcy. We should believe that there are some wonderful people who’ll guide you through your life irrespective of your faiths and beliefs. When a person realizes that everything in this dynamic world is temporary, does not belong to him and that without all these material things also, he can live his life, he starts limiting his needs, his desires and his wishes. This leads to a state of complete satisfaction. Thus, he becomes a sadhu. And what makes him choose this path? It’s the society itself. Every year there have been more than 24 brutal attacks on Hindu sadhus since 2000. Before that there were minor attacks but not much in numbers.

Demand for creating a separate ‘Sindhudesh’ is increasing

sindhudesh, sindh, pakistan, sindhudesh protest, separate Sindh, pok, pakistan occupied kashmir

Amidst the atrocities against minorities in the Sindh province of Pakistan, the demand for creating a separate ‘Sindhudesh’ once again is cumulative. This is the reason why the partition of Pakistan is necessary. The issue of Sindhudesh is heating up at a time when Pakistan is on the verge of default and TTP and Baloch insurgent forces are carrying out bloody attacks in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces. This is the reason that the danger of dividing an unstable Pakistan into four countries has arisen.

The then, Pakistan’s friend Taliban, has also become a menace to it and wants to capture the tribal areas of Pakistan through TTP. Meanwhile, Shayan Ali, a supporter of ‘Sindhudesh’ born in Pakistan and living in America, has announced that there will be a strong protest in the urban areas of Sindh. Not only this, in view of the injustice done to the minorities in Sindh, unpredictable catastrophic demonstrations are taking place continuously.

Last year there was a huge rally to make Sindhudesh. In that, PM Modi, Joe Biden and other leaders were demanded to help in creating a separate ‘Sindhudesh’ for the Sindhi people. The supporters of the movement claim that only Sindhudesh will be able to give rights to the minorities living in the Sindh province of Pakistan. Since it was annexed by the Pakistan Army in 1948, Balochistan has existed as a colony of Pakistan and Pakistan had announced it as a 5th province. Rather over the last seven decades, Pakistan, especially the military and bureaucratic elite from Pakistan’s Punjab province had introduced a massive quagmire to ask their own demand from the Govt.

According to the experts in the internal politics of Pakistan, if the Sindhis together with PoK and Baluchistan demand a separate country, it can be difficult for the Pakistani Government and the Army. In fact, for years, people of Sindhi and Baloch communities have been tolerating the atrocities of the Pakistani Army, in such a way that the Sindhis and Baluchis got together and started a movement for a different country, then it was very difficult for the Government and Army of Pakistan to maintain it. It will happen because due to inflation and worse economic conditions, dissatisfaction is emanating from the Pakistani people.

The demand for independence from Pakistan has arisen from Karachi, the economic politics of Pakistan, where thousands of people have protested vigorously, repeating the demand for separate Sindhudesh. For your information, let us tell you that this is not the first time that the demand for separate Sindhudesh has evolved from Karachi. In fact, Ghulam Murtaza Saeed, the leader of the Sindhis, had fought for a long time demanding a separate Indus.

The history of Pakistan has witnessed, the Army has overthrown elected governments many times. Protecting and training terrorists by the government and the military, atrocities against religious and linguistic minorities, and poor economic conditions prove that Pakistan is a failed nation. There is democracy in Pakistan to show the whole world, but the Army in Pakistan has complete control over the elected government there.

There was a massive rally to commemorate the 117th birth anniversary of GM Syed, the founder of modern Sindhi nationalism. People took out a pro-independence rally in Syed’s home town of Sindh. The Sindhi people consider themselves the descendants of the Indus Valley Civilization. This society kept moving forward in different forms and religions for the last 5000 years. Sindhi nationalists say that their province was forcibly occupied by the British and illegally given to Pakistan in 1947 against the will of the people.

It is said that the Muslims of Sindh were quite different from the Muslims of other parts of India. The Hindus here were also heavily influenced by Buddhism. Sindh nationalists want this area to be separated from Pakistan like Sindhudesh of Mahabharata. Its demand first intensified in the year 1967. GM Syed and Pir Ali Mohammad Rushdie took it forward. After the independence of Bangladesh from Pakistan in the year 1971, the demand for this Sindhudesh gained more momentum. The demand for the Sindhi language and identity was inspired by the Bengali language movement.

Meanwhile, an infamous Pakistani Army is persecuting the people of its own country. The atrocities of Pakistan’s military against people living in areas such as PoK, Balochistan, and Sindh are increasing, and now the people living in these areas loudly demand freedom from Pakistan. The atrocities of the Pakistan Government and the Army on people demanding a separate Sindhudesh are also increasing. To suppress the demand for separate Sindhudesh, the Government of Pakistan has registered cases against the people of the movement alleging nation, government, and state institutions under various sections of slogans, rebellion, terrorism and criminal conspiracy against them.
