Pakistan is playing petty politics

Pakistan puts ties with India in deep freeze and rejects India’s reciprocity line on Pathankot probe. The stalemate continues to haunt the relationship between the two neighbouring countries and now shuts door on NIA visit. All along the Pakistani Government was playing hide and seek on peace talks and now come in open and virtually brought to nought the efforts that have been going on for the past two years to breathe life into the stalled dialogue process between the two hostile neighbours. This marks a major embarrassment for the Indian Government and gives further ammunition to the opposition parties that have been critical about PM’s approach towards Pakistan. This was also complete negation of the view expressed by the Indian side that after the visit of the five member Joint Investigation Team from Pakistan, it was expected that an NIA team from India would go to the neighbouring country but the hopes were dashed to the dust. Pakistan is playing petty politics and the peace talks will not pave way for improving relations between the two countries.
