The real estate bill has been passed by both the houses in parliament. The bill promises a clean-up of an industry that rountinely delays the delivery of homes for years, forces buyers to accept shoddy construction, jacks up costs without valid reason and leaves customers without any alternative to timely redress when promises not adhered to or rather broken. The Bill will now be sent for the President’s approval, after which it will become law. I am sure, it will be a more transparent one than expected by the general public since its scope is widened beyond the suggestions made by the select panel too. Cheers await for home buyers! Let us wait and watch.
