CBFC means ‘Central Board of Film Certification’ and not ‘Censor Board’. So the CBFC should only certify the films and not censor them. I don’t know why the current CBFC officials are trying to gag the free speech. Freedom of expression is a fundamental right of every citizen, be it in any form — oral, written down or artistic. The CBFC over the years has been trying to dictate its terms by censoring the films. The recent controversy over Bollywood’s ‘Udta Punjab’ is politically motivated. I fail to understand as to how a film can influence the voters in an election
