Public safety is of first and foremost importance and the remedial measures taken should fall in line with the need of the people as well as police department. Pedestrian avoid underpass and thereby endangering their life for risk when they cross the road. Zebra crossing with signal can provide you with some safety. However, by increasing the length of the dividers no useful purpose is going to serve. Any traffic obstructions with a wider dividers or speed breakers cause trouble for people using roads. Overtaking from the left side is the cause for many accidents as it becomes a blind side for the driver driving ahead of the overtaking vehicle. No horn areas are to be followed strictly and motorists skipping signals should be punished severely. With potholes posing problem already the unwanted boards on the centre of the road should be removed once the work is over. If police personnel keep vigil on motorists the number of accidents can be averted during the slippery monsoon season.
