Team India lacking all round show

Blame game is already started after disastrous display of team work in first three matches of one day games in Australia. Team India is not prepared well for a tough tour and bits and pieces players have got selected in the team. When the team as a whole fail we blame the bowlers. As a matter of fact, the batsmen did score runs but not to the rate expected at one day level. Maxwell massacred an attack without Ashwin as South Africans did at the Wankhede Stadium going for 438 runs in 50 overs. This shows inherent weakness in bowling. However, the batsmen could not pick up momentum early on and that is also one of the reasons for going down tamely. In the first match at Perth Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli added 207 of 227 balls and in the process 20 balls were wasted and in those 20 balls an aggressive bat can knock off 50 runs to boost the total further. Again Shikhar Dhawan had 54 dot balls in the Melbourne game and out of that over 100 runs can be scored. Just by blaming the bowlers we could not win games overseas. Even batsmen should also play their part to perfection. Both Rohit and Kohli consumed more balls compared what Bailey and Smith did in earlier matches. Team India is lacking all round show and batsmen too are responsible for poor performance. We need fighters in the side and not record breakers, who play for individual glory and leave the team’s interest to go begging.
