Train tragedy

One hundred and forty three people have been killed when 14 coaches of the Indore-Patna express train derailed near Pukhrayan nearly 60 kms from Kanpur. More than 150 have been injured and hence Railways officials say the number of casualties could rise.  This has tarnished the image of Indian Railways as even foreigners prefer travelling by train to capture scenic beauty and to know the historical importance of places in India.  It is a serious lapse on the part of Indian Railways.  The final report will emerge as the one of human error and but the damage has been done.
