Donald Trump AV 3United States President Donald Trump on Saturday slammed the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) over the Florida school shooting, saying that the agency “missed all of the many signals” sent by the shooter, who killed 17 people and injured 14 others.

Trump took to Twitter and posted the same.

“Very sad that the FBI missed all of the many signals sent out by the Florida school shooter. This is not acceptable. They are spending too much time trying to prove Russian collusion with the Trump campaign – there is no collusion. Get back to the basics and make us all proud!”

This comes after the FBI said on Friday said that it had failed to follow the “protocols” when it received a tip earlier this year about 19-year old Nikolas Cruz, the alleged shooter who went on a rampage at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida on Wednesday.

Last month, a person close to Cruz called the FBI’s public tipline and raised concerns about his gun ownership, desire to kill and warned of a possible school shooting, The Hill reported.

Trump and his wife Melania visited the injured students Broward Health North Hospital in Florida on Friday.

On Thursday, Trump called on all the US embassies, public buildings, military facilities, diplomatic sites, naval vessels, consular offices, other facilities abroad to fly their flags at half-staff through Monday.

Cruz, who gunned down at least 17 people on Wednesday at the high school, was a former student and was expelled from the school for disciplinary reasons. He has been booked on 17 counts of premeditated murder.

The development also comes after the US Special counsel Robert Mueller indicted 13 Russian nationals for allegedly interfering in the 2016 presidential elections.
