India is a multi-linguistic society but our constitution is ONE and a uniform civil code is the need of the hour which should be welcomed by all. It is for the benefit of all and that is the prime aim in a democracy and we have the largest democracy in the world. Saying ‘triple talaq’ thrice in urdu to divorce one’s wife is not only ridiculous but a crime and it should have no place in any society and our country infact is educated enough not to tolerate such injustice.
People of some community may play the religion card as elections are near but the fact is that age old customs and rituals need to be eradicated from our society for progress and development. Education is the need of the hour and time to create an consensus through debates to remove anything which is dangerous for society! Uniform civil code is beneficial for all and the court’s should force it on people and politicians and religious bodies should not make it a political issue to stall this!
