Victory from the jaws of defeat!

India won a thriller against Bangladesh but Dhoni and his blue brigade had their foot in their mouths before our neighbours gifted the game to us on the occasion of Holi. Three wickets in three balls when only two runs were needed for victory was rank bad batting by Bangladeshis but India struggling in home conditions in a format which is their forte speaks poorly about our team who should consider themselves lucky to be still in contention for the knock out stage. India’s strong batting lineup is struggling at the moment and our boys need to lift up their game to prove their supremacy. Captain Dhoni has done well behind the wickets as well as leading the side and time for him to bat up the order when men like Shikar Dhawan and Suresh Raina or Yuvraj are struggling at the top. Our fielding too needs improvement as dropping ‘sitters’ against tougher opponents would mean certain defeat and let us hope our boys get their acts together and play to their potential to put up a good show in the remaining part of the tournament!
