It is notable that Aamir Khan dives into government project to save water.  Even though Aamir was in the thick of controversy in recent times now got a second innings to display his national spirit. Water will be a key concern for Maharashtra in general and Mumbai in particular. One of the key focus areas for Mumbai in the coming years will be water. In Mumbai, for instance, barely 25% of the water gets measured and metered.  Mumbai’s officials do not even know where much of the water goes. In the wake of all the trying times faced now it is high time to have such an initiative and Maharashtra Government is taking right step in the right direction. Water is precious and it is high time to save water. There is a need to offer water supply on a 24X7 basis. That will save the city from the chores of storing water, and then throwing it away a few days later under the belief that it had become stale. You cannot have a smart city, without first taking a serious look at water, and not just at power, roads and transport. Water is far more critically important to life than all the others and it is time to save water.
