The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has achieved yet another milestone and launched the INSAT-3DR, an advanced weather satellite that will provide variety of meteorological services. China on the other hand failed in their attempt to launch such a mission and it is yet another feather in our scientists’ cap. Since BJP took over space missions are getting momentum and we are able to challenge the world with advanced technology and will to learn the know how including better night pictures of low cloud and fog. Further the sea surface temperature can be captured with better accuracy. It is notable that we have the current generation of earth observation satellite of cartosat 2 series.
