Actor Akshay Kumar’s novel suggestion of turning defunct phone booths into mobile toilets should be given a serious thought by the government. We are living in the cellphone age where every Indian be it a beggar or an industrialist possess a mobile and phone booths have practically no purpose and are rotting. Converting them into bio-toilets would improve sanitation and cleanliness in the country which is very essential for a healthy nation.
Public toilets at every corner of the road is essential as one cannot restrain oneself for long to meet nature’s call. The country should have public toilets at reasonable intervals all across the country and convertible mobile booth bio-toilets wherever possible. The entire mammoth project should be handed over to private organizations for proper maintenance and accountability with a reasonable levy for every use. People emulate film stars and actors like Akshay Kumar and others who have a huge fan following should be made brand ambassador of our country when it comes to sanitation and cleanliness. Extremely fit and healthy Akshay should also voice his opinion on healthy living by encouraging people to not just exercise but also eat right!
