Amma amid sea of mourners

The death of Jayalalithaa came as a shock to her followers and party workers, even though she was in hospital for 75 days and recuperating.  She was having a charismatic influence on people and she was lovingly called Amma.  Amid a sea of mourners even her staunch critics really turned the tables to support her whole hearted in death. DMK has potentially raised hopes of better relations between the two parties which have fought some of the most ugly battles in Indian politics. The political influence the lady had with other leaders came good with most of them attended the funeral leaving alone all the differences. It was a mark of respect for her image and the political career she led from the days of MGR.  Jayalalithaa is no more but her welfare schemes will continue to shower the poor with freebies and that will go a long way in projecting her even at this hour of death. Sea of mourners bid goodbye to the Puratchi Thalavi and the silence and the peace maintained by the mourners set a new example and how the country changed in the days of Dravidian politics. RIP AMMA.
