The magical moments of Indian cricket touching its pinnacle, when Team India playing its 500th test faced New Zealand side at Kanpur with much promise. Even though the onus was on Indian batsmen playing in the backyard on less bouncy pitches and against comparatively weaker opposition, the cricket fans expected a run riot. But the touring Kiwi side came with a plan and included three spinners to back their bowling attack and serve an answer to the much more fancied Indian side. With five spinners in both the sides the tussle for supremacy was the key factor in a five day game.  In a test match situation the game is gauged session by session and the home side came out trumps on all the days and it is an early advantage in a three match test series. Ashwin, the off-spinner stole the limelight by capturing the first 3 wickets of the Williamson led side and made a mark by achieving 200 wickets tally in record number of 37 test matches for India. He has so far taken 133 wickets in India and the 67 outside India shows his rare consistency with the ball. The record number of 18 five wickets haul and Man of the match awards in less number of test matches all add to his quality as a top bowler in the world. He went on to complete a match winning effort of 6 for 132 to shake the Kiwi side at Kanpur. This is his 5th 10 wickets haul in test match cricket. He is really the trump card bowler for Indian cricket captain and a match winning bowler and with him in the side we can beat the world in the coming season.
