The flood hit Assam is in scramble as the wild life park is under water and rescuers are trying all their efforts to save the animal. Livestock in these flooded regions is also facing hardship because of acute shortage of fodder. There is no respite from the flood situation. Many more deaths have taken place due to torrential rains. And many more deaths are reported in flood the related incidents in the state. The BJP government in Assam should rush up relief measures to the rain raven state and other neighbouring states in the heaviest downpour this year. Maximum causalities have been reported from low lying areas and there is no reprieve for the next 48 hours. The flood situation in interior Assam continues to be grim due to spreading of water. It is high time we take up the work on warfooting basis and more and more relief measures should be passed on to support the state. Wherever required, Army should be pressed into service to assess the sufferings of the people and a grant should be passed forthwith to bring back normalcy in the state. It is a clarion call to save the North-eastern state.
