Bengaluru limps back to normalcy

A day of unrest in Bengaluru city over Cauvery dispute led to a loss over Rs.25000 crore rupees for the State Government.  One particular transport operator from Chennai lost nearly 40 of his Volvo buses in the violence that followed after the court strictures.  TV channels covered the news for increasing their TRPs and that is bad precedence which reveals the ways and means of how to excel in showing violence in most descriptive way.

Cauvery dispute really crippled Bengaluru and the repercussions were felt in Chennai and other parts of Tamil Nadu as well.  It was a pathetic way of expressing the resentment of court order.  At a time when North India is reeling under incessant rains, south India is fighting over water issues since the year 1992.  We need to have patience and perseverance rather than going violent over night without any instigation from the neighbouring state.

However the violence did come to an end after Prime Minister appealed to citizens for exercising restraint and that is an encouraging sign.
