Today the main reasons for accidents are drunk driving, morning hang over, rash driving, bad state of the roads and failure to follow traffic rules. Alcohol Breath Analysers(ABA) are to be used in all focal points to make sure drunken driving is curtailed to the minimum. It is sad that even women drivers are driving with alcohol effect. The offenders should be booked under Motor Vehicles Act 1988. Six months jail and seizure of licence can only help to reduce such incidents and save lives of many. Now drunk drivers cannot mislead enforcement officials, as Mumbai traffic police is all set to commission an unique breath analyser that will not only reveal the percentage of alcohol one consume while driving and will also click your picture before being further sent to its Central Server based in World Headquarters. This will be first of its kind in India, as such breath analysis is not done anywhere in the country in the past. Advanced technology is the need of the hour to avoid such heinous accidents.
