Mumbai’s lady don HaseenaParkar alias aka, sister of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim passed away yesterday after a massive heart attack at Habib Hospital in Dongri. According to information provided by sources,HaseenaParkar’s relativesdid not informDawood Ibrahim and his close aideChhotaShakeelabout Haseena’s death as there is a possibility that Intelligence Bureau and National Investigation Agency might tap their phone conversation.
Agencies can also trace the location ofDawood and Shakeel through phone tapping. Parkar was said to be a key handler of Dawood’s business in Mumbai.
Dawood and Shakeel were declared as the most wanted terrorists by the Mumbai Police. The duo was also involved in committing several high profile crimes including the 1993 bomb blasts.
HaseenaParkar’s family members informed about her death to her close relatives residing in Dubai and Saudi Arabia.They arrived in India for performing the last rites.
Haseena was observing fast on the occasion ofRamadam. On Saturday night she complained about cardiac pain, after which she was admitted to Habib Hospital at Dongri, on Sunday afternoon at around 3 pm. She was declared dead by the doctor.
Parkar (55), stayed at her posh first floor apartment in the Gorden Hall building at Nagpada. She is survived by two daughters amongst which her eldest son, Danish died a few years ago in a road accident. She is the seventh child in a family of 12 kids. Her father, Mohammed Ibrahim, was a police head constable in the Mumbai crime branch. Around 4 pm her dead body was brought to Modern house at Nagpada, as huge crowds were visible near her residence.
Haseena had risen to the crime world after her husband Ismail Parkar was shot dead by the ArunGawli gang in 1991. Dawood retaliated by killing the murderers of his brother-in-law at the famous J.J. Hospital shootout. Soon after, Haseena shifted to her new residence, the Gordon Hall Apartments in Nagpada, from where she headed the crime syndicate.Haseena is said to have influence in many cases including SRA Scheme, films, Hawala racket, cable operationsand extortion.
Fifty six year-old Haseena was once booked by the anti extortion cell for extorting money from a builder. Since then she has been active and most of the South Mumbai based SRA developments did not happen without her consent.
As per the information provided by sources, when Dawood learnt about his sister’s death heasked for her photo through a close aide in Mumbai.After observing ‘Namaz’Haseen is likely to be cremated at Marine Drive crematorium ground.
