People who kill fellow citizens have no morale right to live and capital punishment to Preeti Rathi’s killer was an apt judgment that needs no debate. People including retired high court judges and other renowned citizens are talking about reforming the killer but these very people would change their opinion if the victim was one from their family.
Though the judgement of ‘hanging’ won’t bring the victim to life again but Preeti Rathi’s family can atleast live in peace now knowing that an apt judgement has been delivered against the killer who killed their near and dear one. Not sure if Preeti was the last victim in acid attack killing but the judgement of capital punishment would surely deter many people in future planning to commit similar crime in future!
