Just days after Indrani Mukerjea was arrested for the murder of her daughter Sheena Bora (claimed to be younger ‘sister’ at the time of arrest), it was reported that Sheena could have been pregnant when she was killed.
And now, in a new twist to the case, it is being claimed that Sheena was pregnant with the baby of a person ‘very, very close’ to Indrani, wife of former Star TV CEO Peter Mukerjea.
And this, say sources, could have been the prime motive behind the murder of Sheena Bora.
According to a report in The Quint, Mukerjeas’ close friends have hinted that Sheena could have got pregnant months before she was murdered.
And the ‘father’ of the baby, alleged to be ‘very, very close’ to Indrani, is reported to have spent considerable intimate time with Sheena in Thailand.
As per reports, the man had told Indrani before going to Thailand that he would be travelling to the Southeast Asian country to meet some prospective business partners.
However, when Indrani later found out that Sheena too had travelled to Thailand during the same time, she inferred that her daughter and the man were together. This was corroborated when Indrani had actually found the stub of the flight’s boarding passes in one of Sheena’s books.
Upon being confronted by Indrani, the man confessed about the relationship but added that he thought it was okay because of the wild parties they used to attend regularly. As per the report in The Quint, the man also said that he was under the impression that Sheena was Indrani’s sister and not daughter.
Sheena too is reported to have told Indrani that she was pregnant with the baby of the man “close” to her.
