The victim was unaware that she had filed a complaint against Mayank Gandhi as she merely signed the blank FIR forms. Rivals have disclosed the victim’s identity before the media.

Mayank-LeadFalse case has been filed against Aam Aadmi Party leader Mayank Gandhi and five others for abetting sexual harassment. Conspirators have used 21 year female party volunteer who was unaware about the charges being filed as she was only asked to sign on the FIR form but was unaware about its contents. The victim was encouraged to file a police complaint by a certain group of people led by Sunil Shukla who had quit AAP on September 18, 2014. They did not inform her that they had quit AAP. The woman was totally unaware of how complaints were filed and had never visited a police station in her life.

She was asked to sit in the Oshiwara police station and it took more than six hours for the police to record her statement. Conspirators asked the woman to sign a blank FIR form and assured her she could leave. She was not given a copy of the FIR by the police. The victim later realised that Mayank Gandhi’s name was being mentioned as accused after the FIR copy was posted on whatsapp group.

Thus conspirators have used the woman as a scapegoat to settle political scores with AAP. Suniel Shukla Former District North West Executive Committe Member had erroneously disclosed the name of the victim to the media.

The woman said, “In my absence they twisted my statement and added the names of Mayank Gandhi, AAP state leader Ruben Masacarenhas and AAP volunteer Vinay Mishra. I was shocked to learn through social media that I had filed a complaint against Mayank Gandhi and totally denied it.”

The woman then approached the senior leaders of AAP and explained them how she was misled and was being blamed for maligning the reputation of Mayank Gandhi. She asked them to clarify her true position and they asked her to visit the Commissioner of Police make clarifications. She met the Joint Commissioner Law and Order. AAP leaders have come forward to defend the victim and are ensuring that she doesn’t have to undergo further harassment. They will be fighting to deliver justice to her and will take strong action against anybody who attempts to malign her.

In her statement the victim mentioned, “On 19th September 2014, I went to register a complaint of sexual harassment against Tarun Singh. I gave a clear statement on all the incidents that took place. I also stated that a lady called Ulfat threatened me to not take this complaint forward and a person called Sam supported the accused. This is the first time I was accompanied by two persons Sunil Shukla and Ms Rida who encouraged me to file a complaint.”

“I dictated the statement in Hindi and it was written by a lady officer on a blank paper and somebody was doing the data work simultaneously. The officer read the statement in Marathi as I could not follow it. “

The victim has urged the Commissioner of Police to take immediate action against Tarun Singh, Sam and Ulfat. She also has requested the department to withdraw the complaint against Mayank Gandhi, Ruben Mascarenhas and Vinay Mishra.
