FMCG major Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL) on Friday reported a decline of 22.42 percent in standalone net profit at Rs 971.40 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2015 on account of phasing out of excise duty incentives and “price de-growth”.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 1,252.17 crore in the October-December quarter of the 2014-15 fiscal. HUL’s net sales were up 3.21 per cent to Rs 7,822.86 crore during the quarter under review as against Rs 7,579.18 crore in the year-ago period, the company said in a BSE filing.
HUL stock was trading at Rs 799.25 per scrip on BSE, down 3.29 percent from previous close.
