Rohit Sharma’s blistering knock of 170 not out goes in vain as some poor bowling by Indian bowlers spoilt the party at WACA as team India faltered after posing a match winning total. Rohit and captain Virat Kohli batted brilliantly but the later batsmen just failed to capitalize to add that extra zing to the total which could have proved decisive.
Bowling and fielding wins matches but our attack is pretty ordinary on overseas conditions. We tend to depend too much on spin which is not of much assistance on Australian wickets where we struggle to even defend winning totals. Smith and Bailey batted brilliantly for the Kangaroos and our team it seems is going to struggle in the ODI series as the host team looks stronger on paper and performance. Indian team should pull up their socks and captain Dhoni should lead his boys from the front and with example to come back in the series strongly in the coming games.
