Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi said on February 18 that nationalism and patriotism run in his blood. Perhaps he is not aware of the genuine meanings of these two most precious words nationalism and patriotism. They both mean love for the nation at any cost, even at the cost of personal interests as well as the party’s interests. In other words, both these words mean love for the nationals, the countrymen and their interests, indiscriminately. In the budget session, in which the GST and labour reforms bills are expected to be passed, Rahul Gandhi’s statement will prove whether really nationalism and patriotism run his blood or not.
