Keaton steals the limelight

Keaton Jennings made merry of Indian bowling just like Graham Gooch did during the 1987 World cup against the Indian side at the Wankhede stadium. The southpaw comes across as a happy-go lucky guy with a positive attitude. Otherwise a sensible batsman would not dare to attempt a reverse sweep on 96 to reach his century.  Jennings is the right replacement of Alastair Cook if he calls it a day from Test Cricket.

The Jennings family has had an India connect as Keaton’s father Ray Jennings had been the coach of the Indian Premier League (IPL) team Royal Challengers Bangalore from 2009 to 2013. Young Keaton honed his skills while playing in the county circuit for Durham and his talent was finally spotted as he ended the 2016 season as the leading run-getter with 1,548 runs at an average of 64.5 with seven hundreds.  The youngster dreamt of becoming an international cricketer and achieved it in style. Keaton stole the limelight on day one.
