Lodha report lighting up Indian cricket

The salient features of Lodha panel suggestions include legalising betting and bring BCCI under RTI to end illegal activities and to prevent corruption in our cricketing system.  All along we find most of the matches played in India are fixed and many cricketers of the present and past were part of the betting scandal. Even officials of the Board, commentators and umpires were involved in betting racket and brought shame and disrepute to the game of cricket. Sweeping measures recommended include end the dual role of the officials in the Board. In the name of cricket we go overboard and take undue advantage and in the process deprive deserved candidates an entry into the cricketing circle. Lodha Panel made it clear about the dual membership and lambasted the vested interests in this direction.  After all the game is greater than the individual and it is time to clean up cricket’s image in India as mentioned by the Board President Shashank Manohar. Revamping the whole system and have a close watch on accounting aspect will be part of richey rich Indian cricket. The entry of Ministers, bureaucrats and Government officials all add to the confusion as they lack the cricketing knowledge as they are not equipped enough deal with affairs of the Board. Now it is a matter of time Lodha panel suggestions are implemented and we can see clean cricket.
