It is mandatory on the part of road users to follow traffic rules and adhere to the road sense rather than overstepping stipulated regulations. Fastening the belt and wearing helmet are mandatory and help out to save the life of the driver in both the cases. Drunk driving is another aspect that worries the Police department as they can help out occasional drinkers but the regular drinkers play prank on the streets and the traffic police is given a torrid time. It is time to punish the erring drivers and after a warning their licence is suspended for a period of three months. For regular offenders even this punishment is not enough. So the city motorists will face stricter norms from this day and it is time follow traffic rules strictly or pay price for being reckless in driving through busy Mumbai roads. The same rules will be implemented soon in suburbs and Navi Mumbai also. Motorists should be doubly careful and abide the laws of the road to prevent fatal accidents.
