Maxwell mixed aggression and caution to notch up a magnificent 145 not out in a T-20 International against Sri Lanka. The hurricane innings saw Australia knocking 263 and achieved a record score in the shortest form of the game. Maxwell massacred the attack and he meant business from the word go. He hit 14 fours and 9 sixes in a 65 ball thriller. Thus the nine year old record of Sri Lanka was broken in their own backyard. Australia, who faced a clean sweep in the test series, could maintain some prestige as they wrapped up the one day series rather convincingly and now they are up in T-20 Internationals as well. Magic moments of Maxwell can bring fresh hopes for the sagging spirits of the Australians in the sub-continental conditions before the series against India.
