It was too little too late as former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh finally spoke on demonetisation issue but the learned economist sadly was singing the tune of the Congress and the opposition in opposing this landmark move of eradicating black money from our economy. One has great respect for Manmohan Singh as a politician and economists but had he taken ample measures when he was PM the nation would not have witnessed such a situation today. Singh remained silent during his reign as PM and was remote controlled by the High Command and giving a Nelson’ s Eye to corruption was as good as participating in it though his personal image was clean. Manmohan Singh’s hey days are behind him and he should not toe the line of his party now. He would do great service to the nation if he uses his vast knowledge on economics and advises PM Modi and the government to tackle falling GDP numbers and other problems faced by our economy than just speaking on baseless and useless issues in Parliament!
