Newsmakers Broadcasting and Communication Pvt Ltd will host the sixth edition of the ‘Newsmakers Achievers Award 2015’ on May, 1 2015 at Trident Hotel. The awards are being held to recognise the efforts of common man who has made some difference to the society through their hardwork and determination. Starting from a modest beginning our organisation has overcome several hurdles to complete six years. Within a short span of time NBC has become a force to reckon and has earned a name for itself in the media industry. Eminent personalities from various walks of life would be felicitated during the awards ceremony.
Writer Daya Prakash Sinha, RTI Activist Shailesh Gandhi and Veteran Bollywood actor Dalip Tahil will be honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Special Public Prosecutor, Ujjwal Nikam will receive the Best Lawyer Award. Dr Sunita Dave will be honoured with the Best Doctor award. The award for best architect will be bagged by Arch Vivek Bhole. Sandhya Purecha will receive the best Classical Dancer award. Sudhir Mungantiwar will be honoured with the best performing politician award.
Sachin Kalbag will receive the Best News Editor Print award. Sunil Grover (Gutthi) will receive the best actor in a comic role for television. Neeti Mohan will receive the Best Singer award. Sai Tamhankar will receive the Best Marathi Actress award. Komal Bora will be felicitated with the Ms Wheelchair India Award.
Vaidehi Taman, Group Editor of NBC said, “We tried to set a trend by establishing a self-funded organization with assistance of working journalists. This is the only parallel media existing at the moment. Since most of the media organization is owned by corporate, politicians there is too much interference in its functioning. Today media has lost its independence.”
