It refers to the absolutely unnecessary criticism by some BJP leaders on Congress President Rahul Gandhi wearing alleged Rs 64,000 worth jacket while his tour to Meghalaya. Children of normal middle-income families quite often wear such clothes where price-tag of just Rs 64,000 (less after normal discounts) for a jacket is not at all significant in lifestyle of present days. Even politicians across the parties also wear such moderately priced clothes.
Top BJP leadership, in larger interest of the party, should condemn their party-members for highlighting such petty issues, which even tends to bounce back. It may be recalled that even Prime Minister was very much in news for wearing alleged Rs 10 lakh suit with his name embodied in entire suit-length. Criticism led the suit to be auctioned for a public cause.
