Mumbai’s infrastructure collapses like never before as the entire city was brought to its knees to the shock of all. BMC is the world’s richest civic body but corruption too is the highest and most of the money which citizens pay by way of various taxes is siphoned off to build bank balances of the political class.
People talk of the resilience spirit of Mumbaikars but do the people really have a choice? Political class take advantage of the situation and today we live in conditions that are inhuman without even basic necessities and facilities. BMC needs to be cleansed up and privatization of the corporation is the need of the hour. People would even don’t mind paying more taxes if there is accountability and services that don’t lead to maniac madness that we witnessed on Tuesday.
