It is monsoon season again and we should have a road map to find an amicable solution to the potholes problem in the roads of Mumbai. BMC continues to pay the tax payers money to contractors but the road conditions are going from bad to worse. The shoddy work continues to take heavy toll on road users. The roads include flyovers, bridges, sub-ways and the so called Express ways also. The writing is on the wall unless we take remedial measures and penalize erring contractors we will be facing such ticklish situation for the next four months of monsoon rains. With potholes, craters and knee deep holes, the public is at risk using such partly repaired roads and patch work done in all pockets and on full stretch of important roads. It is a nightmare indeed.
