The increasing population of tigers is good news for animal lovers. Moreover some of the tigers fell in open wells and arrangements is made to cover 9000 odd wells. Forest patrolling has been intensified to curtail poaching. Save Tiger campaign played a pivotal role in bringing out a big data of tigers in this land. In the entire melee about global warming and IPCC’s glacier gate controversy, other ecological concerns are taking a backseat. Protecting endangered species such as the tiger is first and foremost importance. Anti-poaching measures are not up to the mark, as Government authorities only expect poachers to use regular poaching routes. A 30 per cent rise is a good score and we can stand first in the Worldwide Tiger numbers with more than two third share. Big cats give us a big boost.
