Sour grapes for Ravi Shastri, as he now says that he was not interviewed by Saurav Ganguly during an interview held to select Team India Coach. Ravi Shastri should accept the fact that Anil Kumble out scored all others in the race to become the coach, and the former Indian captain needs to congratulate Kumble than sounding his displeasure in the media. An elite panel of Ganguly, Tendulkar and Laxman, chose Kumble to be the coach and this truly gives credibility to the man selected to be the next coach of Team India, which must be respected by all including those who missed the bus.
Not the end of the road for Shastri and he should go back to his commentary where he is doing a great job. Ravi Shastri once thought, was a misfit as far as the coach’s job was concerned as commenting is different from coaching and I wonder what attracted him to the job when media is his preferred profession at the moment. BCCI on their part should offer an extended term to Kumble for fruitful results as it takes time to settle with the team to build a great unit!
