NirupamWhile addressing a press conference Congress Lok Sabha MP Sanjay Nirupam took a jibe at Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal who had arrived in Mumbai for campaigning for the Lok Sabha election. Nirupam criticised the AAP party for disrupting law and order by protesting outside BJP office in Delhi. Nirupam questioned Arvind Kejriwal’s integrity and said, “Kejriwal is creating chaos in the city by travelling in auto and suburban trains. He always alleges that Congress and BJP are corrupt parties but he himself is yet to provide details of the funds received by his party. He also had arrived in Mumbai in plane. AAP doesn’t have any foothold in North Mumbai.”

Replying to the allegations made by opposition parties about his poor attendance record in the parliament, Nirupam clarified, “I have 89 per cent attendance and have campaigned in Rajasthan during my absence from parliament. “

Attacking the BJP, Nirupam said, “BJP claims that it is a strong party but its leader Nitin Gadkari had met Raj Thackeray whose party workers had assaulted north Indian students and created a law and order problem in Mumbai. I had constructed a urinal and college for women. I have worked for the welfare of all communities and development of my constituency. I also have laid pipelines in Malwani and Gorai.”
“Ram Naik had not performed any work when he was the minister of state for railways. But I have worked for the development of Borivali station. BJP is claiming that Muslims are supporting it but the community has always voted for Congress. The party is creating a rift between Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray” added Nirupam.
