What is wrong with Indian cricket?

Gurkeerat Singh was kept for warming up the bench all these days suddenly got an opportunity to play at Melbourne. Is Rishi Dhawan talented enough to finds a place in the Indian eleven? I was extremely unhappy about dropping Ashwin and that too for such people like Mann and Dhawan whose only qualification is that they are from North. Shikar Dhawan always gets some runs when his place is doubtful. I am still not convinced that he is fit to be in the team. Kohli scores runs at run a ball.  But Maxwell made the task easier with hurricane hitting. Rohit creates number of records and the number of centuries scored by him were in vain and does not help the team go for a win.  This team suffers because of lop sided and regional based selection. The selectors from the North, East and central form a coterie which functions on quid pro quo basis. The captain looks out of sorts. It looks that all is not well in the dressing room. The team director Ravi Shastri needs to be sacked. He played for India on considerations other than merit and the present position is also undeserved. We have better former players who can do the job more efficiently and professionally. Dhoni’s days are numbered. He could not win a single one day series since Nov 2014 and his team’s performance is going bad to worse from 2011 World cup onwards. What is wrong with Indian cricket?
