Pandemonium prevails in the Uttarakhand assembly status after the President’s rule followed by the HC order and SC staying Uttarakhand HC order and the aftermath. The political scene in the state is totally confused as the Congress rebels hold their cards close to the chest. The fate of the Harish Rawat is still hanging in balance but his chances of coming back to power is still alive. Testing time continues to haunt the legislators as the horse trading may see light at the end of the tunnel. The main hope for the BJP is that the nine legislators, who plunged the state into political crisis and are crucial vote bank in the floor of the assembly when a vote of confidence is proposed. The political war may break when the stalemate is cleared in the assembly. Once after the elections, people have no say and petty politics assume greater importance and all the developmental activities of the state have come to a standstill over a period of time. The suspense in the standings of Uttarakhand Assembly will be settled soon if wiser council prevails among the legislators.
