World T-20 Power Game belongs to West Indies

Power game has taken the centre stage in T-20 cricket and no match is won or lost until the last ball is bowled. The use of long handle in this form of the game is very common to finish with clean hits and Brathwaite chose the right path to clobber the ball of Stokes with perfection of a regular flag hoister and made a match of it in the end. The modern cricket bats give the batsmen additional leeway and they play to a plan and wait till the last ball also like a Javed Miandad or a Inzamam-ul-Haq to finish the game in style. Team India tasted defeat hoping miracles in the final overs. Both Russel and Lendl Simmons hit out with the precision and we blamed the line calls for our defeat. Now it is the turn of a professional English side to lose the track in the end overs. It was a hat-trick of wins for West Indies as they won the Junior title, Women’s title and the men’s title in the same year. Winning ways of Windies is now history as they won the World cup T-20 title for the second time under Darren Sammy’s captaincy.
