Mehbooba Mufti is in the hot seat as J and K Chief Minister after her father Mufti Mohammed Sayeed’s death does not augur well in the troubled state of Kashmir, more so after the attacks in Pathankot. Militant activities are at its peak in the State of Jammu and Kashmir and with the state sharing borders with Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK), a soft woman CM of Kashmir is not good news for our country.
BJP shares power with Mufti’s party in Kashmir and PM should deport a senior minister to Kashmir to look after the overall administration in the State under the guidance of the country’s home and defense minister. The state of Kashmir could even be put on ‘Emergency’ rule if the situation worsens in the State. It is high time Prime Minister Modi talks tough with his counterpart in Pakistan and these goodwill visits serves no purpose when the willingness for peace is missing. Pakistan as a country thrives on terrorism which is a religion in that country. High time the international community boycotts that nation and isolating it from most activities including business is the only way to teach them a stern lesson to end terrorist organizations and camps there. Also, Sonia Gandhi should avoid opportunistic politics in Kashmir by respecting the verdict of the people and hope her meeting with Mehbooba was only to offer condolences at the passing away of Mufti Sayeed!
