An elusive giant

Civic polls in Mumbai city assume great importance with main Shiv Sena and BJP fight it out for the coveted chair and are making every move for capturing power in BMC. Ashish Shelar has been re-elected as Mumbai unit BJP President with an aim to get the power single handedly and upset their coalition partner in the State of Maharashtra. The fight is similar to that of Mahabharata in which Lord Krishna introduced Pandavas to fight an elusive giant, who grows in size when attacked. Now the preparation for the BMC elections is dress rehearsal of such an exercise and BJP do not want to give any scope for the Sena to assume power again. It is predictable argued that whenever the giant is enraged and his attack is evaded, he loses his size and power. BJP is bent upon to learn to the same to upset the applecart. Devendra Fadnavis is considered as Krishna in his new avatar and party workers are urged to concentrate solely on booth level vote bank politics and leaving all other issues to the party high command. The main aim is to tame the elusive Giant and it appears good thinking but how it will tame the Lion in his own den is a different story altogether.
