Vijay Mallya made a mess of the situation by running out of the country and now attracts a non-bailable warrant for all his actions. In a fresh trouble for Mallya, the Metropolitan Magistrate Court in Andheri issued a non-bailable warrant against him in a cheque bounce case. As per section 131 of NI Act if a cheque is issued by the drawer, he is liable for arrest as per the guidelines relating to the act. When a cheque is returned without balance with a reason ‘funds insufficient, then this amounts to cheating as the beneficiary has every right to file a case. Mallya is famous for all financial regularities is now in thick of action for cheque bouncing case. Airport Authority of India has taken a serious look at the cheque bounce case and the court had given last chance to appear and in his prolonged absence. AAI has sought a warrant to secure his presence. Mallya is in total trouble now.
