Auto driver’s son ignored from zonal selection

No offence to Arjun Tendulkar who has been selected to represent West Zone under-16 squad in the inter zonal tournament being held in Hubli but we are amused at Pranav Dhanawade’s missing name from that list inspite of scoring 1009 runs in an innings in school cricket tournament which is a world record. Arjun Tendulkar’s father Sachin is the ‘God of Cricket’ while Pranav’s father happens to be an auto driver which means you need to have an godfather to please the selectors to be included in the zonal team squad.

Tendulkar is the greatest cricketer the world of cricket has ever witnessed. He would never bat for his son’s selection or influence anybody to do so. The point is not about Arjun’s selection as he is a decent all-rounder but about Pranav’s missing name from that list. Even the great Tendulkar had praised Pranav’s record breaking innings and let us all hope this talent does not go waste and selectors give him opportunity in future to prove his mettle at the higher levels in the days to come.

Bad luck Pranav! Don’t get disheartened and keep working hard on your batting. Form is temporary put class is permanent and which cannot be ignored for long by the selectors. Your time will come and wishing you the very best for future!
