As the pendulum swings here and there, BJP is in troubled water both in UP and Gujarat. Both Modi and Amit Shah are doing their best, but the party cadre is going awry and making lewd statements and attract the wrath of the people at a crucial time. Dalit anger singes BJP as of now and damage control appears rather remote at the eleventh hour. Other political parties are trying to take political mileage by visiting Gujarat for photo-op. Now it is left to BJP high command to make amends and do a world of good before the elections to win back people’s confidence before the situation goes out of hand.
